  • Alarm clock
  • Extra long twin sheets (80” x 39”), standard pillow(s)
  • Blanket
  • Cleaning supplies (broom and dustpan, sponges, small trash bags)
  • Clothes hangers
  • First aid kit, flashlight, sewing kit
  • Pictures, posters, decorations, Blu Tack for affixing items to the wall
  • Area rug
  • Surge protector power strip (regular extension cords are not permitted)
  • Waste basket
  • Insect Repellant
  • Shower Curtain
  • Tension Curtain Rods

For University/Hall Life

  • Computer/laptop, printer, USB drive
  • Desk supplies: pens, pencils, eraser, glue, scissors, highlighters, notebooks
  • National flag/costume for events on hall

For Personal Needs

  • Personal care products
  • Shower caddy
  • Towels, washcloths
  • Pots, pans utensils (any other cooking instrument you may require)
  • Clothes (Do not bring your entire wardrobe)

What to Leave at Home

  • All of your books and notes from high school

Prohibited Items (not allowed in the Residence Halls)

  • Air conditioner or window style fan
  • Blue or Yellow “sticky putty” or double sided tape for hanging posters
  • “Removable” wallpaper or wall decals (they do not remove as easy as promised and damage the paint on the wall)
  • Candles (even de-wicked ones) or incense
  • Cinder blocks
  • Extension cords
  • Extra furniture
  • Hot plates, induction cooktops, open coil heaters, toaster ovens, toasters,
  • Deep Fryers
  • Iron
  • Rice cookers
  • Pets (Including aquatics)
  • Water beds
  • Illegal drugs and/or paraphernalia
  • Weapons (including decorative swords, knives, etc.)
