Real estate company 138 Student Living, (138SL), continued its recognition of outstanding PEP awardees, when three students, who are also children of members of staff were feted at its third staging of its annual PEP Awards Luncheon.

The students, Dante Crossman, Daytona Blackwood and Sunilia Cummings will attend Mona High, Glenmuir High and Bridgeport High Schools respectively.

Dante and Daytona who were present along with parents Kemeisha Gayle and Leroy Blackwood were presented with Certificates of Achievement and gift vouchers valued at $20,000 each to assist with purchasing back-to-school supplies.

During their high school tenure, the children also have the opportunity of receiving additional cash incentives, provided that their academic performancesachieve overall averages of 80 per cent during the academic year.

Both Dante and Daytona expressed pleasure at receiving their token and said that they were looking forward to attending their new schools. Dante, who had his first day of orientation at Mona High School, said that they day was “great.”

Antoine Millen, one of last year’s recipients, and who is now entering his second year at Wolmers’ Boys School was also on hand to give a “pep” talk to the new awardees on what to expect as they transition to high school.

The luncheon was held at the Castries Drive office, located on the UWI, Mona Campus.
